About Us
The Big Happiness Experiment is nationally recognised for our programmes, training and education on mental health, emotional resilience and wellbeing.
We have been providing training and consultancy, both in the UK and globally, for nearly 20 years. We have appeared on national TV, (including BBC and ITV), and make regular appearances on radio programmes, (such as BBC 5 Live).
The Big Happiness Experiment CiC was originally founded by Jules, and then five years ago, Lee (Jules’ husband of 33 years) joined the business, bringing with him his vast financial and project management skillsets. We now run this business from our beautiful semi-rural location in the Midlands, and enjoy all the perks from having a home office.

Our work with military families
We have been involved in helping military families and veterans for many years, delivering a range of initiatives, designed for military children, families, and personnel, to help them to understand the inner workings of their mind, brain, and body, and then equipping them with practical tools and techniques to enhance their happiness, resilience, mental health, and wellbeing. We want our military children and families to not only cope and survive during times of stress, but to nurture their ability to thrive. As a business, we are proud to support The Armed Forces Covenant.
In November 2020, Big Happiness attended Beacon Barracks, MOD Stafford, where we were awarded the 'Brigade Commanders Coin’ by Brigadier AJ Smith, Commander 11 Signal and West Midlands Brigade, for our work in supporting military families during the first wave of Covid 19 lockdown.
Our BOOST programme, which was specially formulated for serving personnel, their families and children, alongside our daily vlogs, were provided to help boost mental and emotional health and cultivate resilience during these extremely uncertain times. This was an extremely proud moment for Big Happiness, not because of the recognition of our efforts, but because of the difference our teachings and tools are having on those that need our support whilst you support us.
The Adventures of an Everyday Explorer book is the fifth book we have been commissioned to write for military children, the first four being for RAF families. This resilience book has been commissioned by the 16th Signal Regiment as part of the Project Big Happiness Crusader and was made possible by the Armed Forces Covenant Grant to support the children and families of our serving soldiers.
It is our mission to continue to expand the support to our military families with many other initiatives, but in the meantime, we really hope that our new 'Explorer Families' will embrace this new book with its tools, techniques and concepts, and you all start to cultivate more resilience, confidence and happiness.
